Micro Needling is an all natural treatment for anti-aging concerns, also know as skin needling, or collagen induction therapy is a procedure that causes controlled micro-injuries to promote the skin’s natural healing response. With a device called a Microneedling Pen there is stimulation and regeneration of the skin to effectively improve tone and texture, as well as tightening and rebuild elasticity and collagen.

HOW DOES MICRONEEDLING IT WORK
The We use a selection of Micro pens which are devices that uses disposable “micro-needles” to create a light intentional surface injury to the skin. This injury stimulates the wound healing response of the epidermis. The specialized tip created multiple channels for products to penetrate deeper into the skin and triggers the body to fill with new collagen and elastin. This treatment uses similar technology to fractional lasers, but by eliminating heat, reduces the downtime. The end result is an “airbrushed” look with improve texture, Lines are erased ,firmness, reduction in acne scars, and reduced pore size.Skin looks younger and fresher.
It also works on scars, stretch marks and hair loss.
IS MICRONEEDLING SAFE
Micro needling is proven as a simple and fast method to safely treat the skin. One of the benefits to micro-needling is the epidermis stays intact and multiple treatments can be done in series. Also, micro needling is easily used in sensitive areas such as around the eyes where laser and deep chemical peels are not typically done. The procedure is performed on all skin colors and types, unlike laser there is no risk of injury to the skin. Rejuvapen is well tolerated by patients with minimal downtime, and easily personalized by going deeper in some areas where skin damage warrants more aggressive treatments.
WHAT WILL I LOOK LIKE AFTER THE TREATMENT
Most people will notice redness and mild swelling similar to slight sunburn for 24-48 hours and there may be slight pinpoint bleeding and/or mild bruising. Skin will be noticeably smoother and more radiant within a week or two. Full results will take a 4-12 weeks to appear.
WHAT DOES THE PROCEDURE INVOLVE?
It begins with cleaning and in some cases numbing the skin. A collagen-stimulating product, Vitamin C serum, and/or skin lightener is also used. A small pen with 12 tiny needles is used to create tiny wounds in the skin. The speed and adjustability of the needles allows for more effective piercing and absorption of skin products. Vitamin-C serum or Hyaluronic acid are used after the procedure to hydrate, heal and protect the skin.
WHAT IS THE DOWN TIME AFTER MEDICAL MICRO-NEEDLING TREATMENT?
Inflammation of the skin is very temporary and reduces greatly within a few hours. It may remain slightly pink for up to 48 hours after treatment. The skin will feel dry and tight for approx 5 days after the treatment as the skin tightens. An aftercare Oil is sold to take home and use. We also recommend Using hyaluronic acid after the procedure it can can help reduce inflammation, and Physical (NOT CHEMICAL ) sunscreen can be used to protect the skin.
Spf must be worn but not for 3 days after each treatment.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED AND HOW OFTEN CAN MEDICAL MICRO MICRO-NEEDLING PROCEDURES BE REPEATED?
Micro-needling can be safely repeated every 4-5 weeks as needed. Collagen induction requires at least 3 treatments depending on age while scar reduction requires between 3 and 6. 4 to 6 weeks should pass between one treatment and the next, and the number of treatments needed depends on individual cases, we asses you on your first treatment and give a guide to how many based on what results you expect and what skin challenge you are treating.Micro-needling can be used on all parts of the body (neck, chest , breasts arms, legs, scalp etc). Usually results begin to appear after the first or second treatment depending on age and skin condition .
IS MEDICAL MICRO-NEEDLING PAINFUL?
Microneedling is at times uncomfortable but most clients op not to use a numbing cream as they feel it is short and done right more than bearable especially in the first couple of treatments.
You can have numbing cream applied to reduce disconfort for a nominal fee.
AM I A CANDIDATE FOR THE MEDICAL MICRO- NEEDLING?
Medical micro-needling is safe on all skin types and colors because the epidermis is not damaged during treatment. The chance of change in pigmentation or post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation is minimal. Skin micro-needling can be used on sensitive and fragile areas (eyes, neck, back of hands) that cannot be treated easily with other procedures. Micro-needling is not suitable for patients who have used Accutane (isotretinoin) within the last three months, have open wounds, cuts or abrasions, have had radiation skin treatment within the last year, are suffering from any skin infection, condition, or herpes simplex in the area of concern, are pregnant or breast feeding, have any history of keloid or hypertrophic scars or poor wound healing
IS MEDICAL MICRO-NEEDLING PAINFUL?

WHAT SHOULD AVOID AFTER THE TREATMENT?
* No other products other than the healing oil purchased in the clinic at the first treatment for 3 days.
*No anti-inflammatory products such as aloe vera, cooling gel, ice or extra non prescription drugs such as ibrofen for 3 days after treatmnt using such a product will slow/stop the response and results.
*Avoidance of Accutane for the past 6 months
*No Laser on area for 6 months
*No waxing, Depilatory creams or Electrolysis for 5 days before or after treatment.
* No Fake tans prior to the treatment or for one week before or after .
No make up for 12 hours (we recommend mineral make to all clients but it is not mandatory)
* No swimming in pool for one week
* No activities for 3 days
* No AHA'S OR BHA'S for 3 days before or after
*Do not exfolliate for 2 weeks after treatment
* No Retional for one week
* No Sunbeds for one week
*No sun holidays for One week
*Keep skin calm for 48 hours after treatments ie no dancing or anything that causes skin to sweat
WHAT SHOULD I USE WITH MICRONEEDLING
As you only have microneedling once every month inbetween we recommend you use the prescribed skincare that I will bespoke perfectly for YOUR SKIN.
Firstly we use a Doctors range of skin care that gives genuine results with great cutting edge creams and products and amazing quality ingredients.
With Microneedling you have to buy a healing and hydrating facial oil here at the clinic which heals and hydrates the skin immediatly after the treatment.
After that I recommend you use what ever range I recommend to help address your issues , the most popular are Hyaluronic Acid products and Real L-Asorbic acid Vitamin C. Unlike beauty vitamin C which only a tiny amount may be in your products doing very little we use Vitamin C with different percentages and outstandinf results. We also insist during the treatment you use a physical ( titanium/zinc oxide) sun screen not a chemical one ( lots of ingredients on the list) as it causes heat and can hind
WHAT TO EXPECT AND DO IN THE DAYS THAT FOLLOW MICRONEEDLING
•When exposed to sun, always use sun screen SPF30 or above. You may clean your face with a gentle cleanser before bed.
• Redness or sensitivity might be present (and last up to a few days) after peel
• Peeling may start 3-5 days after peel. Do not pick or scratch at treated skin but instead keep moisturized
• Eat fresh pineapple to optimize healing
• Avoid strenuous exercise or sweating for 24 hours due to open pores
• Treat skin gently washing with a Home oil for 3 days , cool water, using hands only and pat dry no earlier than 4 hours after peel
•NB ONLY IF NECESSARY : May use cool compresses after peel if excessive discomfort, burning, redness, or swelling • Follow post treatment l instruction sheet if indicated
• Avoid sun exposure for 3 days and if possible 10 days. Apply a minimum of SPF 30 every 2 hours after day 3
• May use mineral makeup after minimum of 12 hours
• Restart regular skin care regimen in 3 days
• Recommend follow up and repeat treatments in 4 weeks and for best results a series of 3 – 6treatments
Day 1: On the next day, you may clean & moisturise your skin with the home oil purchased at clinic only .Stay away from exfoliants or glycolic acids that are present is cleaners as these can make your skin very dry after the procedure. Be sure to use an approved SPF30 or greater sunscreen!
Days 2-7: Within two (2) days following your Medical Micro-Needling procedure, you will notice skin dryness and flaking. This is due to an increased turnover of skin cells & the skin tightening . During this period, you may apply your home oil / regular skin moisturizer following above instructions. Follow the instructions given to you by your Skin professional. If your Skin professional treated around the around the eyes, you may have a little micro bruising that may exist for three or four days. This can easily be covered with makeup. Days later, your skin will start shedding. These are skin layers that would regularly shed a week later, but the Micro-Needling brings this skin to the surface sooner. During this temporary process, your skin will shed and be dry. You may use your regular skin care products once your skin is not irritated.
Days 7+: A week after the Medical Micro-Needling procedure, most patients notice that their skin is smoother and more radiant. Continue with sun protection every day and reapply
